
Causes of constipation and ways to avoid it

There can be many reasons for constipation, the main one being a diet lacking in fiber. Consumption of excessive oily, spicy and processed foods is the main cause of constipation. Not drinking enough water and lack of physical activity also slows down the movement of the intestines, causing constipation.
Apart from this, mental stress, irregular daily routine, and irregular eating can also cause constipation. To avoid constipation, inclusion of fiber in the diet is important. Such as whole grains, oatmeal, fruits and green leafy vegetables.
